Purshia stansburyana (Rosaceae), blooming in April along Teutonia Peak Trail in the Mojave Reserve.

This rose family plant is the larval host of the desert elfin, Callophrys fotis mojavensis.

Older variations of the name include Cowania mexicana var stansburyana.
